Storm Drain Marking:
Add a
pollution prevention message to your neighborhood storm drains. Stormwater
pollution is easy to prevent and the markers serve as a regular reminder that
storm drains are only for rain. Not leaves or grass clippings; or fertilizer; or
oil and litter.
Follow these easy guidelines for a successful
storm drain marking event:
- Be safe
always have at least one person on your storm drain marking team responsible
for traffic alert!
- Bring a
broom to sweep loose dirt from the storm drain -- the glue will adhere better.
- Mark all
of the storm drains that lead to your pond.
- Distribute the good neighbor letters to your
neighbors so they understand what they can do to help prevent storm water
pollution.
- Fill out
the tracking form so that we have an accurate record of your storm drain
marking event.
