Polluted water affects our:
- Health
- Safety
- Quality of life
- Property values
The greatest source of pollutants to our waterways comes from storm water. Stormwater = rainwater that flows over yards, pavement, streets and other hard surfaces and picks up pollutants such as motor oil, yard debris, litter, fertilizers, dog poop and other toxins. This polluted runoff enters storm drains and drainage ditches and then flows directly into the nearest pond, lake, river and the gulf untreated.
.

Each of us has a responsibility to help reduce pollution by properly disposing of debris, trash, waste and other pollutants-pollutants that degrade water quality and are harmful to wildlife and humans.
